On April 13, at 6 pm, a meeting was called by Bill Van Offeren.

29 households were needed to hold a vote.

30 households showed up.

After a few people spoke up about various issues, from past dues to mismanagement, we got down to business.

A motion was carried to amend bylaws to allow a minimum of 3 board members and a maximum of 9. Opposed to the 9 required at all times.

Another motion was carried to disregard the silent ballot vote and hold a public vote for board members.

9 volunteers came forward, introduced themselves and then a vote was held for each one.

Not all who were voted in were unanimous. Some of the residents were against some of the board, myself included.

But all carried enough votes to be elected to the board.

Bill is not on the board, nor is he a part of the HOA leadership anymore. He turned over the keys to the shed and all equipment and will also be handing over all financial documents and legal documents.

The next step for the board of directors is to meet with a property management company (Hyperion) on Saturday to discuss options for how the HOA should be handled, what the cost will be per household, and how to move forward with everything (if we decide to).

After that, the board will also meet to discuss positions, like President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer.

The main goal of this is to keep dues the same price her household, outsource the labor, and have the board meet on topics that involve the community, such as upgrades to parks, maintenance, tree planting and/or removal, etc.

Anything that is an added cost outside of the normal yearly dues will be discussed and voted upon.

The goal to to run a legitimate HOA with total transparency.
